Olivier Martinez Took 500-Year-old Alchemy Test For Halle Berry Ring
Olivier Martinez took a 500-year-old alchemy test in order to have the perfect ring designed for his wife-to-be Halle Berry. The French actor enlisted the help of Paris-based jeweler Robert Mazlo, whose shop is located in Olivier's neighbourhood of Saints-Germain-dees-Pres.
According to US Weekly Magazine, Martinez met with Mazlo shortly before Christmas and said that "he wanted to produce the most beautiful ring ever made - money was no object and he only wanted the finest materials involved". Apparently determined to make "a masterpiece", Mazlo ordered his client to take a 500-year-old mystical "alchemy test" answering seven questions about his love, Halle. Olivier reportedly answered queries concerning shapes, colors, numbers and signs. A spokesman for La Maison Mazlo refused to comment on the nature of the consultation with Martinez, but the French actor has already slammed a rival jeweler for taking credit for the ring.
As for wedding plans, the couple have not yet finalized arrangements for the big day, but a source notes there's a "very good chance it would be in Paris", adding, "It will be first time round for Olivier . . . he would love it to be in his home city - the city he knows and loves".
