Odd Future Storm New York With Two Gigs In The Same Night

If there was any doubt that Odd Future weren't supportive of the collective's own Frank Ocean and his decision to come out about his bisexuality earlier this month, then it was emphatically consigned to history last night in New York as members of the group performed not one but two gigs in the city, before heading off to a late night show by TRASH TALK, a band recently signed to their own Odd Future Records label.

MTV reports that the night began at venue Terminal 5 when Ocean himself - recently riding a wave of critical and commercial success for his new album 'Channel Orange' - took to the stage to perform some of the highlights from his latest release as well as older stuff from his breakthrough mixtape 'Nostalgia, Ultra'. Other members of Odd Future were in attendance, including head honcho Tyler The Creator, Earl Sweatshirt and Hodgy Beats who roared on encouragement, before leaving the venue to head to Best Buy Theater in Times Square for a performance of their own.

Eventually taking to the stage at 11pm, the group's own set was a far more visceral affair than Ocean's silky smooth performance; Tyler and Earl's names were the only ones advertised to appear but most of Odd Future turned up to help the pair perform older songs like 'AssMilk' and 'Pigeons' as well as fan favourites like 'Yonkers' and 'Sam Is Dead'. Ocean, having just got his breath back, joined too, ad libbing over songs as a mosh pit reportedly formed. The group then headed off to Brooklyn to complete the evening with TRASH TALK, leaving hundreds of awestruck fans in their wake.
