Sinead Oconnor - O'connor Moves L.a. Shows Due To High Demand
Sinead O Connor was forced to move two gigs in Los Angeles this week (beg20Feb12) to larger venues due to an overwhelming demand for tickets.
The Irish singer was due to perform at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever on Monday (20Feb12) and Tuesday (21Feb12), but the gigs quickly sold out, so she decided to upgrade to a bigger venue.
The concerts were subsequently moved to the city's El Rey Theatre, which has more than double the capacity of the previous venue.
A statement posted on O'Connor's website revealed the shows were moved "due to popular demand".
The singer subsequently received a rave review for her Monday night show from the Los Angeles Times and she was so thrilled, she posted the article on her website with the caption, "Oh my God!".
