The Mancunians have completed two songs set to feature on their seventh studio release with demos of the remaining tracks ready for recording once sessions begin on November 5th.
Speaking to BBC 6Music, guitarist Noel Gallagher said the album has a more 'groovy' feel than their last effort Don't Believe The Truth.
"The last album was quite 'songy', if that makes any sense - it was quite a British, retro, '60s sounding album. This is focusing round the grooves more."
He went on: "We start in Abbey Road a week on Monday [November 5th]," he said. "Then we'll probably work through a couple of months there, have Christmas off, then go and mix it and see where we're at.
"We all write separately, but for some reason all the songs sound like they've got a common thread. We've been focusing round the grooves more this time."
Though recording in a studio immortalised by his musical forefathers the Beatles should prove inspiring to Gallagher, he told the radio station he's struggled to hit lyrical highs on the new album.
"I've literally got nothing left to write about," he said. "I've written about being a youth, and I've written about being a Rock Star, and I've written about living life in the big city."
