Oasis Star Takes Up Country Pursuitsby Contributor | 06 March 2008
NOEL GALLAGHER is following in the footsteps of MADONNA and GUY RITCHIE by embracing traditional English country pursuits.
The OASIS rocker could be set to abandon his favoured tracksuit tops and jeans in favour of tweeds and flat caps as he takes up shooting.
The older Gallagher brother stocked up on guns while recording in LA, reports the Mirror.
Noel has even been texting his famous pal, fellow-musician TOM MEIGHAN of KASABIAN fame, to tell him all about his new hobby.
Speaking to the newspaper, Tom said: "He sent me a text about going shooting in America, and about how scared he was of shooting himself."
Meanwhile, when Noel is not pursuing his new hobby he has decided to turn is hand to acting.
The Britpop superstar has reportedly provisionally agreed to appear in the film adaptation of RUSSELL BRAND's autobiography MY BOOKY WOOK.
According to Brand, Noel will play a camp character a far cry from his hardman public persona.
The big-haired comedian has also expressed an interest in signing up DANIEL RADCLIFFE and comedy veteran MICHAEL PALIN to appear in the movie.
