Oasis Mad Over Brits

Liam and Noel Gallagher are likely to snub the BRIT Awards as both are refusing to attend the ceremony if the other does, despite being up for Best BRITs Album of 30 Years.

Liam and Noel Gallagher are refusing to attend the BRIT Awards if the other does.

The rock 'n' roll brothers - whose band Oasis split last August following a huge bust-up before a Paris concert - are causing massive problems for BRITs organisers who have reserved a £14,000 table for the pair, because of their frosty relationship.

Despite the pair's album '(What's the Story) Morning Glory' being up for the Best BRITs Album of 30 Years prize, 42-year-old Noel has reportedly told friends he will snub the event if Liam, 37, goes.

A friend told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Liam and Noel have still not spoken since they split. Things are so bad that Noel is moving into a new house at the moment and is so off radar, Liam doesn't even know the address.

"Everyday the BRITs are on the phone checking to see if they are coming, but there is still no answer from either of them. It's as if one is waiting for the other to crack and apologise. Liam's thinking he'll leave it until the last minute and will decide if he's going on the day itself."

Singer Liam is the most likely of the pair to attend the ceremony, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and takes place at London's Earls Court on February 16.

The 'Soldier On' rocker said: "I want to go. I want a night out and it would close the Oasis thing for me if we won it."

'(What's the Story) Morning Glory' originally won the Best British Album prize at the 1996 BRIT Awards.
