Oasis Commissions Pop Artist Blake
OASIS have persuaded legendary pop artist SIR PETER BLAKE to design the album cover for their upcoming greatest hits release STOP THE CLOCKS. Blake created the iconic album artwork for THE BEATLES' hit 1967 disc SGT PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND, as well designing memorable covers for rockers including IAN DURY AND THE BLOCKHEADS and PAUL WELLER. And NOEL and LIAM GALLAGHER are now determined to bag the veteran artist's services for themselves. Noel says, "To me these things are about future generations. This is for 10 or 12 years from now when people are going: 'That's the band everyone was yakking about.'"
