Singer BERNIE NOLAN has thanked surgeons who saved her life during her breast cancer battle - insisting they deserve awards for their "incredible" work.
The Nolans star was diagnosed with the disease in April (10) and was later given the all-clear following a mastectomy, chemotherapy, and breast reconstruction surgery.
And she has now spoken out to send special thanks to the team of medics who cared for her during her illness, because they are rarely rewarded for their work.
She tells U.K. TV host Lorraine Kelly, "It was a great team looking after me... These men, they are the people that deserve awards. These surgeons... they don't get (praise). You know, people in showbiz, these big divas (who say), 'I want this on my rider, I want that on my rider', and all they do is sing and act. These guys not only save lives but they created a whole new breast for me from out of nothing. It's absolutely incredible."
