Noel Talks Solo Albumby Contributor | 29 October 2008
Noel Gallagher has revealed he plans to record a solo album - when he can find the time.
The OASIS star - whose band were recently accompanied by a full choir at the BBC Electric Proms - told Billboard about his intentions for the new record.
"I'm going to do one sooner or later - hopefully sooner rather than later," he said.
"I'm kind of hoping Liam might be arrested soon, and then I'll have time to see it through."
He also said that he has already written song's for the band's follow-up to the recently released DIG OUT YOUR SOUL, which he claimed are "vastly different" from the material on the previous album.
"There's stuff about soldiers and religious people and rock stars and travellers. They seem to be all songs about people, but not people I know. And they all seem to have a narrative; it's kind of like a story which follows on from song to song," he said.
OASIS recently announced details of a UK stadium tour for summer 2009.
