Noel Gallagher Mocks Liam At Acoustic Show

Noel Gallagher mocked his brother Liam's Olympics Closing Ceremony performance by dedicating 'Wonderwall' to ''Stratford's finest tribute band.''

The musician played an acoustic charity concert for Warchild at Dingwalls, London, last night (14.08.12) and couldn't resist mocking Liam's band Beady Eye's interpretation of the Oasis hit - which he wrote.

Introducing the track in his own set, he said: ''I know this is gonna be difficult for you, but if you can't sing along to this next song, it's because it sounds different when I sing it ... I'd like to dedicate this to Stratford's finest Oasis tribute band.''

Sticking to the Olympics - which closed on Sunday (13.08.12) at the new Olympic stadium in Stratford - the 45-year-old rocker dedicated 'Supersonic' to double Team GB gold medallist Mo Farrah.

Before playing the song, he told fans: ''I'm gonna dedicate this song to the great Mo Farrah.''

Noel's set was littered with Oasis tracks and tunes from his debut solo album, 'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds', including 'If I Had A Gun...' and '(AKA) What A Life!'

He also chose to delve into the rarest of Oasis tracks and played 'Angel Child' - the B-side to 1997 UK number one 'D'ya Know What I Mean?' - for the first time ever live and 'D'ya Wanna Be A Spaceman?', the B-side to debut Oasis single 'Supersonic', released in 1994.

Introducing 'Angel Child' to huge cheers, he said: ''Next song I'm gonna play, I've never played live before. I've never even listened back to it since I recorded it.''

As Noel told the intimate crowd he was playing his last song they jokingly booed, prompting him to quip: ''Don't boo at a charity gig, that is properly morally wrong, don't boo me, I could have gone out for dinner tonight ... Thanks a lot for coming out, we'll see you down the road somewhere.''

He finished with 'Don't Look Back In Anger' which prompted a mass singalong and even, at one point, Noel and his two musicians to stop playing as fans raucously sang the chorus.

Noel Gallagher set list, Camden Dingwalls 14.08.12:

'(It's Good) To Be Free'

'Talk Tonight'

'If I Had A Gun...'

'Supersonic'

'Wonderwall'

'Whatever'

'AKA... What A Life!'

'D'Yer Wanna Be a Spaceman?'

'Half The World Away'

'Angel Child'

'Don't Look Back In Anger'
