Noel Gallagher has hinted that a possible Oasis reunion is ''forever'' on the cards.
The 45-year-old rocker - whose departure from the group caused their split in August 2009 - recently insisted he would never perform with his brother and former bandmate Liam Gallagher again, ''even if all the starving children in the world depended on it'', but admits fans should never say never about seeing them on stage together again.
Speaking to the Evening Standard newspaper he said: ''I can understand the man in the street thinking, 'That was such a huge thing, how can you walk away from it?' I understand. When the Sex Pistols reformed I thought it was the greatest thing of all time.
''If The Stone Roses can do it, then anyone can do it. You can never predict what you'll be doing in 20 years' time, but I guess if everyone remains vaguely slim and has not gone bald, then it's on the cards. Forever.''
However, though Noel will never dismiss the idea of reuniting to Oasis, he says it hasn't been brought up in conversation by Liam or his two other ex-bandmates, guitarist Gem Archer and drummer Chris Sharrock.
He continued: ''Saying that, when I pick up a guitar I don't think about an Oasis reunion. I've recently seen Gem, and Liam, and Chris, and not one of them mentioned it.''
