Noah Wyle: 'Jail Time Was A Rewarding Experience'

Actor Noah Wyle wouldn't swap a minute he spent behind bars following his protest arrest in Washington, D.C. in April (12) - because he really enjoyed swapping stories with the "characters" he shared a cell with.

The former ER star was led away in handcuffs after members of disability-advocacy group Adapt held a demonstration on Capitol Hill rallying against plans to cut America's Medicaid program.

But he admits his time behind bars was more interesting than terrifying.

Wyle tells U.S. news show Access Hollywood Live, "We were led to... this holding area in the basement and they kept us there for a good long while.

"We were all in it together. It was a rewarding experience on a lot of fronts. It's been a long time since I've been with a group of really interesting people without any cell phones. We had no communication with the outside world at all, so we had some really terrific conversations and I actually really enjoyed every second."
