Hiroshi Yamauchi, one of the brains behind videogame icon Super Mario, has died at the age of 85.
The former Nintendo president, who introduced Super Mario to the world, passed away on Thursday (19Sep13) in a Japanese hospital.
Yamauchi was also the creative mind behind Zelda and Donkey Kong.
He left the company in 2002 and was ranked the 13th richest man in Japan at the time of his death, according to Tmz.com.
