Nicole Scherzinger - Nicole Scherzinger's Tv Swearing Sparked Viewer Complaints
Nicole Scherzinger's use of the term "effing" during a live broadcast of Britain's The X Factor last year (12) has been deemed "offensive language" by U.K. Tv bosses.
Broadcasting regulators at Ofcom received 52 complaints after the pop star introduced one of her acts by declaring "I'm so proud, this is James effing Arthur" on the talent show last November (12).
Ofcom chiefs deemed the phrase, which is used as a substitute for a swear word, inappropriate for a pre-watershed audience and said it was "capable of causing a certain amount of offence".
According to Ofcom, the show's judges were reminded about the use of bad language on the family-friendly show.
No further action will be taken, while Scherzinger will return to the judging panel when the 10th season of The X Factor kicks off later this year (13).
