Nicole Kidman - Nicole Kidman Broke Down In Tears After Oscar Nomination
NICOLE KIDMAN has revealed that she broke down in tears upon hearing news of her recent OSCAR nomination for 'Best Actress'.
NICOLE KIDMAN, the Australian actress and star of new movie 'Rabbit Hole', says she started to cry after hearing she had been nominated for an ACADEMY AWARD for the third time, reports People Magazine. The 43-year-old, who plays a mother mourning the death of her son in 'Rabbit Hole', said her daughter Sunday was initially confused by her tears, she said, "They said my name, and Keith was like 'Yeah!' and jumping around the kitchen. And Sunday is like, 'What's happening? Why are you crying?' Because I was crying. She said, 'Why are we sad?' I said, 'No. We're not sad, Sunday. We're happy". Kidman, who won an Oscar in 2002 for her performance in 'The Hours' and was nominated again for 'Moulin Rouge', says she remembers her very first Oscar ceremony. Speaking to OnTheRedCarpet.com, Kidman recalled that she had attended with then-husband TOM CRUISE, saying, "I suppose I remember going to the Academy Awards with Tom when I was about 23 or something and that was like, completely overwhelming, but fun. It's quick and fast and furious for a little while and then I go back to Tennessee and relax. I don't stay up that late".
Kidman, who was recently honoured with the 'Cinema Vanguard Award' at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, has been critically acclaimed for her performance in 'Rabbit Hole'. However, in order to scoop the 'Best Actress' OSCAR at the upcoming ceremony she will have to beat huge favourite NATALIE PORTMAN.
