Nicole Kidman - Nicole Kidman, Ang Lee for Cannes jury

Nicole Kidman and Ang Lee have joined this year's Cannes jury.

The 'Stoker' actress and 'Life of Pi' director will join head judge Steven Spielberg to help decide the winner of the prestigious Palme d'Or award at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, it has been announced.

'Lincoln' director Spielberg and Lee competed in the Best Director category at the Oscars in February but will now unite to pick which film takes home the top prize at Cannes next month.

Also joining the star-studded jury are 'Django Unchained' actor Christoph Waltz, who earned an Oscar for his role as Dr. King Schultz in Quentin Tarantino's hit spaghetti Western film.

Other panel members include French actor Daniel Auteuil, Romanian director Cristian Mungiu, Japanese filmmaker Naomi Kawase, Britain's Lynne Ramsay - who directed 'We Need To Talk About Kevin' - and Indian actress Vidya Balan.

This year's Cannes in-competition films include works from top directors Steven Soderbergh, the Coen brothers and Nicolas Winding Refn.

Refn's 'Only God Forgives' reunites him with 'Drive' hunk Ryan Gosling, while Soderbergh's highly anticipated Liberace biopic 'Behind the Candelabra' stars Michael Douglas as the flamboyant entertainer and Matt Damon as his secret gay lover.

Joel and Ethan Coen's 'Inside Llewyn Davis' also features Hollywood stars - boasting a cast including Justin Timberlake and Carey Mulligan.

Cannes Film Festival takes place between May 15-26.
