Nick Lachey Sad That Honeymoon Retreat Is No More
Pop star-turned-Tv personality Nick Lachey has mixed emotions about his honeymoon, because the Necker Island retreat he jetted his bride Vanessa Minnillo off to after their July (11) wedding was burned down three weeks later.
The former 98 Degrees star had the perfect post-wedding getaway on Richard Branson's holiday isle and was left speechless when he read about the fire that destroyed the main house less than a month later.
He says, "About three weeks after it was struck by lightning and the main house burned down.
"It's kinda sad to look back and see these pictures but at least we have the memories we had... and I'm sure he'll (Branson) rebuild it and it will be bigger and better than ever. That's just his mindset."
