Nick Cannon's Kids Too Smart For Baby-proofing

Nick Cannon's kids are too smart for baby-proofing.

His 10-month-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, with wife Mariah Carey, are already so clever they know how to disable the household mechanisms designed to keep them safe.

The 31-year-old 'America's Got Talent' host said: ''We just [baby-proofed] the house recently, but they are so smart.

''They know how to take the knobs and the baby proof stuff off. They know what's baby proof, so they are like, 'We are not suppose to be touching that - so we are going to go touch that!' It's crazy!''

And with The Little Ones already learning to walk, Nick is going to have even more of a challenge on his plate.

He told US Weekly: ''They are stepping. They are taking Steps and then falling to the ground.''

Nick - who was hospitalised with kidney failure and blood clots on his lungs before being diagnosed with autoimmune disease lupus nephritis earlier this year - is set to renew his vows with Mariah for the fifth time later this month.

And he admits his health battle has made him even more appreciative of his family.

He told Life & Style magazine: ''It goes to show you how much things can change. In tough times, you lean on family.''
