Nick Cannon - Nick Cannon To Campaign For Child Privacy Laws In Washington
Funnyman and new dad Nick Cannon will head to Washington, D.C. next month (Mar12) to campaign for safer child privacy laws on the Internet.
The TV personality, who welcomed twins with wife Mariah Carey last April (11), has been cutting back on his professional commitments following a string of health woes, but he's not letting anything get in the way of his next engagement.
Cannon is set to meet with government officials at Capitol Hill about the need to protect children from predators on the web during a Congressional Briefing on 7 March (12).
The star will speak out in support of the Do Not Track Kids Act of 2011, a piece of pending legislation which would place strict limitations on the use of children's personal information and require harsher parental consent rules.
The America's Got Talent host has been in and out of the hospital over the last three months - he was recently diagnosed with acute kidney failure and just last week (ends12Feb12) he was found to have blood clots in his lungs and an enlarged ventricle in his heart.
