Tony Award-winning musical NEXT TO NORMAL will end its run on Broadway in January (11) - with a series of performances by married theatre veterans MAZZIE and JASON DANIELEY.
The show opened in New York's famed theatre district in April 2009 to huge acclaim, garnering a slew of awards later that year, including Tonys for Best Original Score, Best Orchestration and Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical for Alice Ripley.
It also won the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Drama - a rare accolade for a musical.
But declining ticket sales have convinced bosses at Manhattan's Booth Theater to halt the show's run in January (11) after almost two years, according to Variety.com.
The curtain will fall for the final time on the musical, about a mother who struggles with worsening bipolar disorder, on 16 January (11).
