Actress Becki Newton is pregnant with her first child.
The former Ugly Betty star has confirmed she is expecting a baby with her husband Chris Diamantopoulos, whom she wed in May 2005.
But the happy news has caused a headache for executives at NBC - they are having to push back the premiere of her new U.S. TV series Love Bites.
Writers are also having to take steps to adjust Newton's character in the show, according to USA Today.
A spokesperson for NBC network explains, "She plays a virgin (in the pilot episode), so we have to make adjustments to that."
