Newton-John's Former Lover Doesn't Want Contact

OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN's former lover PATRICK MCDERMOTT has no plans to contact his ex-girlfriend after he was discovered alive and well in Mexico five years after supposedly drowning in a boating accident.

MCDermott vanished during a fishing trip in 2005 and was believed to have perished at sea, but last year (09), reports surfaced that he had been traced to the Mexican fishing village of Sayulita, where he was working as a deckhand.

A private detective tracked down the Physical hitmaker's ex-boyfriend - and confirmed his identity after MCDermott sent him faxes, photographs and voice recordings.

Now private investigator Phil Klein, who was hired by a U.S. TV network to find the singer's former partner, reveals MCDermott has no plans to apologise to Newton-John, who split from her lover the day before he disappeared.

Klein tells Australia's Herald Sun newspaper, "Mr MCDermott made it very clear that he has had no need for communication with anyone associated with her (Newton-John). He made that clear the day he broke up with her and through his counsel - his counsel says so."
