New Iron Man 3 Trailer Set To Leave Us Guessing (Trailer)

Hooray for another new Iron Man 3 trailer! Admittedly it seems to re-tread much of what the last trailer was hinting at, but it’s nevertheless another chance to see some big explosions, a load of action, and – most importantly of all – Ben Kingsley’s gloriously gung-ho jungle of a beard. He’s still got it y’know.

There’s still not been much given away about the actual plot of the story, save for the fact that Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man will be doing battle with Ben Kingsley’s Mandarin. What does seem to be a constant in these trailers though is Iron Man uttering the words “I’ve a lot of apologies to make”. It suggests that we’re going to see a more humble, vulnerable action hero, with the character apparently setting out to discover who destroyed his private world. We’re reckoning its Mandarin ourselves, but time will tell.

Fans of the Marvel franchise don’t have too much longer to wait until the film comes out on release, with May 3 slated for the US and international markets opening up a week earlier. Also starring in the film are Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle and Guy Pearce. Shane Black is directing whilst Kevin Feige produces. Re-shooting was taking place for the film as recently as last month, however, so it’s going to be a tight squeeze to turn it all round.
