Why dont CBS, FOX, and NBC execs want consumers to enjoy commercial-free TV? Its what we want! Im a customer and employee of Dish, and I think Auto Hop is great because you can easily watch commercial-free TV. A well known consumer advocacy group, Public Knowledge, agrees that people should have the right to control how they watch TV. Theyre taking a stand for consumers by creating a petition that tells CBS, FOX, and NBC media to keep their hands out of your living room and DVR. Sign their petition to keep control of how you watch TV |

Joe Clayton brings up a great point; what’s wrong with making the customer happy? I only work a few hours a week for Dish, but in the time that I’ve spent there recently, I’ve learned enough about the Hopper to get one myself. The PrimeTime Anytime feature records primetime of the four major networks so that I can watch them all, and I never have to pick which shows I’ll watch based off if there are no other conflicting shows I want to watch. I thought that was a step towards making me, the customer, happy, but now Clayton has taken it a step further with Auto Hop. It’s a step in the right direction, and that’s giving me the choice to watch TV for the shows, and not all the interruptions. |
