Waylon Jennings - Never-before-heard Waylon Jennings Tracks Set For Anniversary Release
Never-before-heard tracks by country star Waylon Jennings will be released this year (12) to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his death.
The Honky Tonk Heroes hitmaker passed away at the age of 64 on 13 February, 2002 after complications with diabetes and now his son Shooter Jennings is putting together a new album to honour his life and legacy.
Goin' Down Rockin': The Final Recordings will hit stores later this year (12) and feature a total of 12 songs - eight of which have never been released, until now.
Jennings, 32, tells Taste of Country, "A lot of it is maybe where I am in my life, with my kids and everything. I'm at a place where I really appreciate my dad and I really appreciate his part of my life and my kids knowing who he is even though he'd never met them. I felt like I'd grown into a place where it was time for me to take over getting his name back out there in the right way."
Shooter has also revealed plans to produce a biopic about his dad, although further details were unknown as WENN went to press.
