Netflix Acquires Serialized Dramas From Warner Bros. Tv

Continuing to focus on television, rather than flix for its principal Internet streaming content, Netflix announced today that it had licensed several full seasons of serialized dramas produced by Warner Bros. TV. They include NBC's new hit drama Revolution; the USA Network miniseries Political Animals with Sigourney Weaver; A&E's Longmire; and ABC's 666 Park Avenue. The Deal comes on the heels of several reports indicating that Netflix users frequently indulge in marathon sessions watching serialized dramas. It is also remarkable in that the new episodes are being released just as their season ends. In a statement, Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos boasted, This unprecedented agreement brings to Netflix members earlier and more exclusively than ever before complete previous seasons of some of the most prominent and successful shows on network and cable television. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
