Guns N' Roses - Neil Young Rocks Out At 26th Annual Benefit Show
Veteran rocker NEIL YOUNG shared the stage with acts including Guns N' Roses and Jack White at his 26th annual Bridge School Benefit show in California over the weekend (20-21Oct12).
The all-acoustic event kicked off on Saturday (20Oct12) at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View to raise money for Bridge School, which was founded by Young and his wife Pegi to help children with severe physical disabilities.
Foster the People, Flaming Lips, Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers, k.d. lang, and Ray LaMontagne also showed up to perform for the crowd of students and their families.
The show's most surprising moment came when Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder turned up unannounced to support Guns N' Roses, and he joked to the audience, "This is the last place I thought I'd be when I woke up today... opening for Guns N' Roses."
Young wrapped up the evening with his traditional all-star jam, inviting the headliners onstage for a cover of Rockin' in the Free World.
