Singer/songwriter Ne-YO is still trying to get the awful taste of prop licorice out of his mouth after chewing it like tobacco for his role in new war movie Red Tails.
The So Sick singer star was offered real tobacco or the thick black stand-in - and he regrets choosing the latter.
He explains, "It was this disgusting black licorice that I can honestly still taste now two years after we finished the movie.
"It looked like the real thing when you spit it in a cup; it looked like tobacco. The props department were like, 'You can chew tobacco or this licorice,' so I went for the licorice. But then, after tasting it, I wish I tried the tobacco because it tasted like faeces!"
