Battle - Ne-yo Not Prepared For Tough Boot Camp

R&B star Ne-YO is still smarting from the mandatory military boot camp he experienced for new alien war movie Battle: Los Angeles - because real soldiers were a little too tough on him.
The So Sick singer admits he expected the military training to be more instructional than physical and he was not prepared.
He tells WENN, "We did about three weeks of boot camp for this film and difficulty is an understatement. I don't think they told the drill sergeants that we were actors - because he went at us like we were really recruits, trying to get into the Marines.
"It was up at five o'clock in the morning, doing push-ups and sit-ups and teaching us how to take a gun apart and putting it back together and getting in your face.
"I'm saying, 'You guys are aware there's no real war happening right now? We're not going to fight anything! You can calm down,' and they would say, 'Alright, 50 push-ups!' It was intense."
