Scottish rockers Nazareth have axed their upcoming U.K. tour after singer Dan Mccafferty fell ill with a chest infection.
The group was due to perform gigs beginning next week (begs18Mar13), but now the Hair of the Dog hitmakers have pulled the plug on the trek as MCCafferty continues to recover.
A statement from the band reads: "The band has just returned from their tour of Brazil where, unfortunately, singer Dan MCCafferty picked up a chest infection. Due to this, doctors have advised Dan that it should take around two weeks to clear this infection using a course of medication that has been prescribed.
"This has resulted in the band having to postpone the U.K. tour with the next window of opportunity to complete it being November this year (13). Nazareth sincerely apologize and regret any inconvenience this has caused but hope to make it up to all their fans later this year."
