Nate Dogg - Nate Dogg's Son Receives First Football Scholarship Offer
The son of late hip-hop star Nate Dogg looks set for a promising future in American football - the teenager has received his first college scholarship offer to play in Idaho.
Naijiel Hale plays cornerback on his high school team and he's already attracted the attention of scouts from Boise State University, who have invited him to study there on an athletic scholarship once he graduates next year (14).
But that won't be Hale's only option - he is also said to be getting major interest from officials at the University of California, Los Angeles (Ucla) and Northwestern in Illinois, as well as his top choice, the University of Oregon.
The young sportsman recently said, "Oregon is my top school and that's been my dream school and they know that."
Naijiel won't be the only hip-hop offspring competing in college football - Sean 'Diddy' Combs' boy Justin began playing for Ucla's Bruins team in September (12), while Snoop Dogg's son Cordell Broadus was offered a scholarship there last June (12).
Nate Dogg, a father of six, died from multiple stroke complications in March, 2011.
