Natasha Kaplinsky - Natasha Kaplinsky Set To Host New Itv Talent Show
Natasha Kaplinsky gets her shot at presenting a mainstream weekend talent show tonight (17th July), in ITV's new Born to Shine, which goes out at 8pm. Natasha Kaplinsky will be flanked by celebrity judges Denise Van Outen and Dancing On Ice's Mr. Nasty Jason Gardiner during the show, which focuses on talented kids as they teach celebrities new skills ranging from tap dancing to beatboxing, reported The Sun. The celebrities - including Ruth Langsford, Nick Moran, Joe Swash and Jason Manford - must then perform their new skills in front of the judges.
Kaplinsky told the Mirror how much she was looking forward to the show in a recent interview: "I am really excited about doing this show and it will be nerve-racking but great fun.I take my hat off to the celebrities. Being a ¬Strictly veteran, I know what it is like to perform in front of millions. What is so ¬amazing, however, is the children who are mentoring them. They are ¬extraordinary people and their talents are just ¬incredible." The show also aims to raise money for Save the Children. Kaplinsky also said that being a mother was her 'biggest challenge yet'. She has recently received criticism for spent most of the 3 years of her Channel Five contract on maternity leave, but moved to underline that is wasn't easy for her: "Being a mum is the hardest job and I have got so much respect for full-time mums.I thought it was easy staying at home, but it really isn't. It's tough and draining at times."
