The Hollywood actress - who is one of a host of stars lined up for the prestigious event - will show her movie 'Black Swan' directed by Darren Aronofsky, in which she plays a troubled ballet dancer.
Women are set to dominate this year's event as stars led by Julianne Moore, Hilary Swank will be joined by a record number of female directors.
The programme unveiled today (08.09.10) boasts a strong female presence with 57 women directors for the 197 feature films and 112 shorts.
Artistic director of the 54th BFI London Film Festival Sandra Hebron, said: "From the playful to the precise, the surreal to the stringently social-realist it's hard to recollect a year when the programme has been quite so diverse.
"Well known and highly regarded directors including Mike Leigh, Ken Loach, Catherine Breillat and Errol Morris sit alongside iconoclastic provocateurs Takashi Miike, Jean-Luc Godard and Gregg Araki."
Screenings and events take place from October 13 to 28 in various cinemas across London.
