Naomi Campbell's Evidence Date Set
Naomi Campbell will go to The Hague to testify in the war crime trial of Liberian president Charles Taylor in August.
Naomi Campbell will give evidence at the war crimes trial of Liberian dictator Charles Taylor.
The supermodel has been ordered to face court in The Hague, Netherlands, on August 5 to testify as to whether or not Taylor - who was president of Liberia from 1997 to 2003 - gave her a rough, or uncut diamond as a personal gift when he first came to power.
Speaking to ABC News on Tuesday (20.07.10), her lawyer Gideon Benaim said: "Whilst she would rather not be involved in this case at all, she will nevertheless attend to assist the court as requested."
When asked in April if she had received a gift from Taylor, Naomi became visibly angry, cutting short an interview.
She said: "I didn't receive a 'blood diamond' and I'm not going to speak about that.
Actress Mia Farrow has previously stated Naomi revealed to her personally about the gift, which she supposedly received during a party at Nelson Mandela's South African home.
