Nadine Coyle - Nadine Coyle Was Against Girls Aloud Split
Irish singer Nadine Coyle tried to persuade her Girls Aloud bandmates to stay together before they officially announced their split on Wednesday (20Mar13).
The British pop act, consisting of Coyle, Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh, confirmed it was disbanding hours after the ladies completed the final show on their Ten: The Hits Tour in the U.K.
Rumours have abounded that Los Angeles-based Coyle, who has been at the centre of several reported feuds with her fellow bandmates, was behind the break-up, but she insists she fought against the band calling it a day.
Taking to Twitter.com, she writes, "You should know by now I had no part in any of this split business. I couldn't stop them. I had the best time & want to keep going."
Meanwhile, Walsh has reached out to fans online and thanked them for their continued support as each member embarks on a new chapter in their lives.
She tweets, "To our Alouders, Just wanna say please don't be sad today we have had some amazing years together and we should be celebrating the incredible memories. I will always be there for you all and I know you will for me. This is just the beginning of a new journey and it's gonna be fun. Love you all for your unconditional support."
