Bosses at the Hilton Hotel in Shreveport, Louisiana are playing down reports they've banned HELLBOY star Ron Perlman for life, insisting they have no recollection of the incident that forced them to kick him out.
The actor opened up about the controversy during a press conference promoting his new film Season of the Witch on Thursday (06Jan11), but refused to go into detail.
He told WENN, "I got thrown out for life, so I ended up staying in a casino hotel.
"The reason I got thrown out was so unsexy. It’s not like I’m Kurt Cobain or Mick Jagger or Keith Richards getting thrown out of a hotel. So I won’t go into the details. I like to just leave it as I’m not even allowed to go back to the Hilton in Shreveport."
But a spokesman for the hotel insists Perlman has his facts wrong: "We do a lot of movie business. We might not have had room for Mr. Perlman but I don't recall anyone banning him for life."
Perlman was shooting scenes for Season of the Witch with Nicolas Cage when the mystery incident happened.
