My Chemical Romance Inspired By Haunted Mansion Painting
Many of the tracks on MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE's hit new album THE BLACK PARADE were inspired by a creepy painting singer/songwriter GERARD WAY found in a haunted mansion.
The band moved into the spooky Paramour Mansion to write and record the new album and Way stumbled across the mysterious painting one day while he was wracking his brain for inspiration.
He explains, "I had found this painting called MARCH OF THE SAINTS in this dungeon bathroom in the house and (I) thought about processions, JOAN OF ARC, stuff from childhood, all this Catholic guilt and doubt.
"I started investigating that and soon saw patterns in the songs."
