Former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney has topped the Sunday Times list of the richest musicians with a £680 million fortune. The singer-songwriter has topped the list since 1989, when he was worth an estimated £80 million. In second place was composer and West End king Andrew Lloyd Webber, with £620 million, and the combined financial might of Irish rock band U2 finished third with £520 million. The full list will be published by the newspaper on Sunday 21, April.

Elsewhere on the list, former Spice Girls star Victoria Beckham shares an estimated fortune of £200 million with superstar husband David, while Rolling Stone frontman Mick Jagger was tied on the same amount. Elton John featured prominently, while dancer Michael Flatley surprised many by finishing seventh with a £191 million fortune. Keith Richards, Olivia and Dhani Harrison, and Sting rounded out the Top 10 with amounts over £180 million.

In the young music millions list, Adele unsurprisingly topped the list with an estimated £30 million fortune. It was widely reported that the Oscar-winner had made £10 million last year despite taking time off to recover from a throat operation and giving birth to her first child. Her award-winning album 21 has seen her value increase by 50%. Elsewhere, Cheryl Cole's estimated worth was increased to £14 million, while each of the five members of boy-band One Direction are said to be worth £5 million each - a figure likely to have increased exponentially by next year.

reading, as loggers, make paper would the products, loading, cutting, how much do you think a logger is worth? how much do you think a cattle rancher is worth? its interesting to see a musician be so popular but the music, its jus what I said to someone about how words mean so much, how the words are written where the schooling or ideas are coming from the musicians, people, farmers, too, but what its not nice to do is bad mouth any thing of margaret thatcher it looks bad on t.v., she's old, older , respect of persons is supposed to be there, wow! I was unpleasantly surprised to see her bad mouthed, I know its Elton JOhn, mic jagger, paul mccartney's music, and words, that make england what it is today, certainly! erick claptons music, hemming those costumes building good passageways, how high is the water mama, six feet high and rising, its just a saying, but it means that some people write the words, have the natural talents, as an Adele my middle name she too has gone off with as my children and I see it on t.v. its nice that they take the initiatives to make something pretty on t.v. and words come down to listen so nicely while driving to work having a good day. pleasantries are nicer, yeah, my daddy's gone I have a funeral to attend for June 30th, children to bring, I phoned my brother, Russell , he doesn't sound too good on the mountain, what? its snowing up there he says on the phone, I called him, he's sleeping in tents sleeping bag, what? I told him to keep warmer, what do they want to do? Its ghastly to lose a father! I guess we all know we must go on. I am very proud of my going to the paul McCartney concert, I seen elton john singing too, and saw William Shatner, in Winnipeg, MB. its snowing on the mountains, its cold for this time of year,my plants froze a little. flowers. grabbing onto some memores, thanks for listening. Its hard work to be a forrester logger and make paper.take care, maybe we'll see you again sometime.
