Muse keep BRITs on computer

Muse bassist Chris Wolstenholme keeps the bands BRIT Awards on top of his computer.

The rocker and his bandmates, Matthew Bellamy and Dominic Howard, were up for two prizes at the ceremony at The O2 in London last night (20.02.13) and although they lost out in the Best Live Act and Best British Group categories Chris has their previous two trophies at his home to cheer himself up.

Speaking to Absolute Radio's Pete Donaldson at the BRITs, he said: ''I've got my awards in my office at home. So when I'm on my computer I can look at them and feel all proud.''

Chris insists it is great for Muse - who opened the show with a spectacular rendition of 'Supremacy' complete

with a huge strings section and fireworks and explosions - to just be at the annual event, because win or lose it's a fantastic celebration of British music.

He said: ''I think it's just nice to be here, you know, it's nice just to be a part of it. You get to see other people that you wouldn't normally see and obviously playing is great. If you win, then that's great, if not we still have a brilliant time.''

Emeli Sande was the night's big winner taking home the gongs for British Female and the highly coveted Mastercard British Album of the Year for her debut record 'Our Version of Events'.

Taylor Swift performed her single 'I Knew You were Trouble' and thrilled the audience mid-way through when a wedding dress she was wearing was torn off to reveal a super-sexy black outfit in front of the watching eyes of her ex-boyfriend Harry Styles.

Harry and his One Direction bandmates - Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson - performed their new Comic Relief charity single 'One Way or Another (Teenage Kicks)' and took home the award for Global Success.
