Muse - Muse Invited To Reign Over Hometown For A Day

The musicians, who all hail from Teignmouth, England, put the town on the map in May (12) after running through the streets with the Olympic torch in celebration of the upcoming 2012 London Games.

Now local officials have given the trio an open invitation to take over the government board to show appreciation for causing a spike in tourism.

Council leader Jeremy Christophers says, "I've invited (frontman) Matt Bellamy and the band to come in and run the council for the day... We're not sure quite when schedules will allow it, but I'm really hopeful that we can make it happen."
