Murray's Sister Takes Nun Show On Tour
Nancy Murray, a Roman Catholic nun, has taken her one-woman show about the life of St Catherine of Sienna to Scotland's prestigious Edinburgh Festival.
Her subject died 627 years ago but Nancy is determined to honour her life using limited props of a candle, crucifix, table, chair and a small bouquet of flowers in a self-penned play.
But Nancy's famous sibling Bill isn't optimistic of his sister's chance of dramatic acclaim. In the opening section of his book, Cinderella Story: My Life in Golf, he writes of his family: "There are four of us who have tried showbusiness. Five, if you insists on counting my sister the nun, who does liturgical dance.
"To date, she's the only one insisting that she's in the business. I will include a liturgical dancer in showbusiness the day that one of them gets an encore."
