Bauhaus - Murphy Studied Performing Like A Bat For Bauhaus Reunion Tour

Bauhaus star Peter Murphy studied hanging upside down like a bat to make sure he wouldn't pass out performing the stunt onstage during the goth band's last tour.
The singer stunned fans during the group's reunion tour by performing one nine-minute song hanging by his feet from above the stage - but he admits it wasn't a spur of the moment stunt.
The Ziggy Stardust singer tells Spin magazine, "There is a maximum amount of time before you black out; it's 15 minutes or something. I was OK with that.
"I got some hanging boots they use in Pilates exercise, and during rehearsals I got my crossbar set up.
"The technical difficulty is in the muscles. The vocal muscles are in reverse because of gravity, so you have to teach these new muscles how to sing."
