Mumford And Sons - Mumford And Sons Envied By Noel Gallagher

Mumford And Sons, the British folk-rock band whose hit album 'Sigh No More' found success in the UK and US, have been praised by former Oasis songwriter Noel Gallagher. The Britpop man explained he hasn't heard "anything that sounds as good" as their hit song 'The Cave'.
During an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Gallagher praised Mumford frontman Marcus Mumford's distinctive voice, saying, "I haven't heard anything that sounds as good as that. I don't mind them. A lot of f*cking people hate them in England. I think it's the waistcoat and facial hair. I don't mind them. I think that guy's got a good voice." Noel also spoke of his fondness for the band's track 'The Cave', saying, "I wish had written that song. That's the biggest compliment I can pay whoever wrote that". The comments differ vastly from his brother Liam's thoughts on the band - last month he ranted, "They look like f*cking Amish people. You know, them ones with the big sideys that don't use electricity?"
Noel recently announced plans to release his debut solo album 'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' on 17th October 2011. The record will be the first new material since Gallagher left Oasis in August 2009. Lead single 'The Death of You and Me' will be released on 21st August 2011.
