Anyone who thinks the awards season peaked with the Oscars deserves to be taken outside and placed in the stocks for their lack of ceremony-based knowledge; because as everyone knows it's not truly awards season until the much coveted Mum Of The Year Award has been handed out for another year. With the Foxy Bingo-sponsored version of the gong currently vacant amidst the controversial stripping of their champ Stacey Solomon following her admission that she's been smoking whilst pregnant, the path is clear for Tesco's endorsed prize to become the pre-eminent Mum Of The Year award in the UK, something we can merely imagine the importance of.

The UK's Metro newspaper reports that it was TV presenter GABBY LOGAN who took the win this year; Logan is married to former Scottish rugby player Kenny Logan and is mother to six year-old twins Lois and Reuben. Congratulations to her. However stealing the show was former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star Amy Childs.

Apparently that matters not when sending out the invites for this prestigious event, and the 21 year-old opted to turn up wearing a canary yellow dress with black lace detailing around her waist, the colours matching her bright red hair and turning heads as she arrived at the event.
