Mtv - Mtv Suspend Production On Buckwild After Star's Death
Bosses at Mtv have suspended production on U.S. reality show Buckwild after one of its stars was found dead in West Virginia on Monday (01Apr13).
Shain Gandee, 21, and his uncle were reported missing on Easter Sunday (31Mar13) after failing to return home from an off-road driving trip.
Their bodies, along with that of a friend of Gandee, were discovered in a vehicle, which was partially submerged in deep mud, in Sissonville - and Mtv chiefs have now decided to shut down production on the second season of the show following the tragedy, according to E! News.
A statement from the network reads, "We are shocked and saddened by the terrible news about Shain Gandee, and those involved in this tragic incident. We are waiting for more information but at this time, our main concern is for the Gandee family and their friends.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with them. Shain had a magnetic personality, with a passion for life that touched everyone he met and we will miss him dearly."
