The MOTION PICTURE ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA has drafted in enforcers with night vision goggles in a bid to beat Hollywood's rising piracy problems.

MPAA authorities investigated the extent of the problem when urban comedy MALIBU'S MOST WANTED underperformed at the box office earlier this year, while pirate DVD copies of the film, released at the same time, soared.

MPAA bosses are also looking into adding subtle flickers to movies, which will be picked up by cameras, but not the naked eye.
