Johnny Depp is being lined up to play a Rock Star in a new movie.
The 'Alice in Wonderland' actor - who regularly performs with British rock band Babybird - is reportedly set to land his dream job in upcoming film 'Sonny Boy', having always wanted to be a musician before he turned to movies to find his fame.
The 47-year-old star is now apparently in talks to depict the story of a musician who has a hit single after releasing an old record, then sets off to find the original composer.
Johnny left school with ambitions to be a rock star, and played in numerous bands before he started work as an actor.
He's has played a large part in the 'You're Gorgeous' hitmakers' return, by directing the video to the first single from their new album 'Ex-Maniac'.
The band previously revealed Johnny was instrumental in getting the album made, after he introduced frontman Stephen Jones to some of his music producer friends.
