Motörhead have been forced to pull out of French, German and Russian dates due to Lemmy reportedly suffering with haemotoma - a blood disorder where blood collects outside a vessel due after damage. The cancellation was announced on the band's website, "Regretfully, Motörhead announces it has had to cancel its remaining six summer festival appearances. The band hate to let their fans down by missing any shows, but they expect to be back in full force this Fall."

Lemmy's identical condition caused the heavy rock band to call off three dates in June and the gravelly-voiced frontman is, according to drummer Mikkey Dee speaking to Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet (reported in The Guardian), "devastated beyond belief" "[Cancelling a tour] has a bigger effect on him than it would anyone else. It's like chopping off a piano player's hands, " Dee added "he's not doing so well right now," sending ripples of concern throughout the 'Ace of Spades' band's massive fanbase who have already had to face the concern brought about by unfounded rumours that the 67-year old had had a defibrillator fitted due to heart problems.

Lemmy's Illness Has Forced Motorhead To Cancel Tour Dates.

Lemmy, AKA Lemmy Kilmister, sent an apologetic message to fans via Motörhead's website , saying "I'd like to thank everyone who wish me well, it was a tough decision for me as I don't like to disappoint the fans especially in times where economy is bad and people spent their money to see us. But sometimes you can't do anything else than following doctor's orders, but be sure we will be back and kick everybody's ass." After June's cancellations, the band confirmed that Lemmy under went a "Motor-pit-stop for some medical maintenance" and that he was "alive, breathing, talking, f**king, drinking, eating, reading." However, now it seems the iconic singer and bassist will need to take a little extra time out to get his health back up to full metal power.
