Morrissey Cancels Royal Albert Hall Show Due To Illnessby Contributor | 11 May 2009
Morrissey has been forced to call off his show at London's Royal Albert Hall tonight (Monday May 11th) due to illness.
The former Smiths singer broke the news on his official website this morning after performing at the Liverpool Empire on Sunday night.
"Due to illness tonight's show at London Royal Albert Hall has been cancelled," a message read.
"Event organisers would like to apologise to his fans for the disappointment but he is unable to perform and on doctor's orders has been told to rest."
Promoters SJM Concerts have advised ticket holders to keep their tickets and await an announcement regarding a "possible" rescheduled date.
It is not yet been confirmed whether the illness will affect Morrissey's planned performance at the Birmingham Symphony Hall on May 13th.
