More Stars Weigh In On Anthony Murder Verdict

Hollywood stars Jessica Alba and Ralph Macchio have expressed their outrage after learning Florida mother Casey Anthony was cleared of murdering her young daughter Caylee.

After 10 hours of deliberations in one of the most explosive court trials in two decades, the jury at the Orlando courtroom delivered its verdict on Tuesday (05Jul11).

The 25 year old was found not guilty of first degree murder, aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter of a child, but was found guilty on four counts of providing false information to a law enforcement officer.

Following the verdict, stars including rocker Nikki Sixx and socialite Kim Kardashian took to Twitter.com to express their shock, and now Alba has shown her disgust, branding the news "revolting".

In a post on the site, she writes, "Following the Casey Anthony trial was nauseating but the verdict is revolting."

Meanwhile, new mum Christina Applegate made her own comments, writing, "I look into my baby's eyes and I can't imagine harming her not physically, emotionally not mentally, 1 (one) who does is a monster, a free monster."

Karate Kid star MACchio adds, "Casey anthony verdict = disturbing - is an understatement," while actor Jason Biggs simply writes, "'Not guilty' is the new 'guilty'."

Anthony was accused of drugging her daughter and suffocating the two year old with duct tape in 2008, while the defence claimed Caylee accidentally drowned.
